“Youth for Ganga, Youth for Yamuna” Project

The National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, sanctioned an awareness initiative aimed at sensitizing school students towards river conservation and biodiversity. As part of this project, students of Class VIII presented a stage play designed to establish an emotional, cultural, and environmental connection with the rivers Ganga River and Yamuna River.The initiative aimed to bridge the gap between young citizens and river conservation efforts by fostering awareness, responsibility, and active stewardship among students. The program successfully instilled a sense of responsibility and environmental consciousness among students. It encouraged them to become proactive participants in preserving and protecting these vital river ecosystems, reinforcing the role of youth in sustainable development.

SPOOKY DESIGN THINKING FOR GRADE XII STUDENTS

The school organised an engaging workshop on Spooky Design Thinking for Grade XII students on 7 April 2026. Conducted by experts from Falmouth University and PNK Foreign Study, the session introduced students to the principles of design thinking and its role in innovation. Emphasis was placed on authentic empathy and critical reflection in problem-solving. The highlight was an interactive storytelling activity where students collaborated, created storyboards, and analysed underlying issues through guided questioning. The workshop effectively nurtured creativity, collaboration, and deeper analytical thinking.

Interactive PBL Session – Game Design Activity

An interactive PBL session was conducted for Class IX on 6 April 2026,, where students designed original learning games using Monopoly as a reference example. Working collaboratively, groups developed rule-based games integrating ideas from Science, Social Science and Mathematics to support concept building through engaging participation. Each group presented its game, explaining the educational objective and gameplay process. Learners described how their designs supported targeted outcomes and encouraged logical thinking. The session promoted teamwork, imagination, and structured problem solving while enabling meaningful connections between academic content and experiential classroom learning.

PBL Session: Designing Educational Games for Young Learners

An interactive and insightful PBL session was conducted for Class VIII on 7 April 2026, guided by resource person Abhinav Singhal. Students were challenged to transform familiar board games such as Monopoly, Ludo and Snakes & Ladders into meaningful learning tools for Class III EVS topics. Working collaboratively, learners designed quizzes, flashcards and concept-based gameplay focusing on animals, birds, environment and layers of the atmosphere. Each group presented an original title and structured rules suitable for younger learners. The activity strengthened planning abilities, encouraged teamwork and provided opportunities to explore creative approaches for making foundational concepts engaging through play-based learning experiences.

Exploring Number Patterns through UNO Card Challenge – Class VII

The school organised a PBL activity titled Even–Odd Challenge with UNO Cards for Class VII on 2 April 2026 under the guidance of resource person Abhinav Singhal. Students grouped UNO cards by number and sorted them into odd and even sets to strengthen number classification skills. They explored pairing for fair sharing and recognised simple divisibility patterns through hands-on participation. Learners also designed UNO-based math games for Class II, including Add It Up, Make 10 Memory, Double Trouble, Subtraction Showdown and Colour Pattern Builder. The activity supported prediction skills, logical thinking and understanding of number relationships through collaborative learning. 

Young Picassos: Little Hands, Big Imaginations

The Nursery students participated in a freehand drawing competition held on 13 February 2026. The objective of the competition was to encourage creativity, imagination, and fine motor skills among young learners. With ‘nature’ as the theme, the students confidently expressed their ideas through their drawings. Each participant was applauded for their active involvement, making the event a joyful and enriching experience. The Digital Duel

The Intra-Class Computer Prowess Competition for Classes I to V was conducted in the month of February and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who showcased their creativity and digital skills through thoughtfully designed projects.   Class I students created ‘Colourful Superheroes’ using MS Paint, and Class II designed posters on ‘The Magical World of Books’ using OO04 KIDS Writer. Additionally, Class III developed animated stories in Scratch 3.0 based on ‘Time-Travel Adventures.’ Class IV projects highlighted ‘Say No to Bullying’ through impactful presentations, while Class V students created engaging games on MakeCode Arcade themed on ‘The Lost Treasure.’ The judges were amazed by the level of creativity, originality, and technical understanding displayed by the students. Planting Love, Nurturing Earth: Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0

The Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0 campaign by the Department of School Education and Literacy under the Ministry of Education is a meaningful national initiative celebrating the bond between children and their mothers while promoting environmental responsibility. Our school proudly participated in the campaign, with 143 saplings planted by students alongside their mothers, symbolising love, gratitude, and care for both motherhood and Mother Earth. The initiative beautifully blended emotional connection with ecological action, creating lasting memories and fostering sustainability. The school was honoured with a Certificate of Appreciation for its active contribution to this noble cause.

Learning Law & Leadership: Students Visit Vasant Vihar Police Station

On 16 February 2026, eleven students of Class VIII, accompanied by the Sports teacher, visited the Vasant Vihar Police Station for an insightful educational experience. Students interacted with the Head Constable and the Inspector and were given a guided tour of key areas such as the Inspection Room, VB Room and Reporting Room. They learned about juvenile cases, court procedures, bail processes and how a complaint progresses into a case. The visit concluded with students presenting a Thank You Card to the officers in appreciation of their guidance and service.

Young Picassos: Showcasing Creativity in the Early Years

Drawing and colouring help stimulate the creative centre of the brain while enhancing imagination and self-expression. The KG Intra-Class freehand drawing competition was held on Tuesday, 03 February 2026, with the theme ‘Christmas’. The kindergarteners participated enthusiastically, creating vibrant Christmas scenes in their individual styles. They displayed a good sense of proportion and coloured neatly within the outlines. Their bright, colourful, and imaginative artworks were truly a delight to behold.
