PRISMATIC 2026, the annual inclusivity event of Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar was successfully held on 23–24 April under the aegis of the Department of Education in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Delhi South West, District 3011. The two-day event brought together over 175 students from more than 40 schools across Delhi NCR, celebrating diversity, creativity, and equal opportunity.Day 1 was graced by Guest of Honour, Pratishtha Deveshwar, a globally recognised disability rights advocate, and featured a range of interactive workshops, including decoupage, clay modelling, mime, nukkad natak, and dance. Special sessions were conducted by Dr. Geet Oberoi, Founder, Orkids Foundation, while Ms. Soojata led an engaging Vision Board workshop for teachers.Day 2 welcomed Chief Guest Dr. C. S. Verma, Deputy Director of Education-Zone 20 along with distinguished Rotary dignitaries such as Rtn. Ajeet Jalan (DGE) and Rtn. J. M. Singh (President, Rotary Club of Delhi South West, District 3011. Inclusive sports, cultural performances, and a vibrant exhibition of student artwork marked the grand finale, reinforcing the spirit of inclusivity and empowerment.
Tagore International School conducted a session on e-waste awareness on 27 April 2026 for Science students of Classes XI and XII. The session was conducted by school alumnus Aseem Trivedi, recipient of the Innovation Sustainability Award for his pioneering venture, Novasensa. It focused on the growing challenge of e-waste, its environmental impact, and the importance of responsible disposal.Students explored innovative recycling solutions and discussed sustainable consumption practices. The session aimed to educate, engage, and empower learners to take informed action, reinforcing the school’s commitment to environmental responsibility and a sustainable future.
The annual class IV Intra-Class Spelling Bee Competition was held on 24 April 2026. The event aimed to challenge students; vocabulary, improve their spelling accuracy, and build confidence in public speaking. The competition was divided into 5 rounds- homophones, unscramble the letters, find the correct spelling, name the picture and final one based on students auditory skills. The hall was filled with vibrant energy as classmates cheered for their representatives. Between the official scoring segments there were questions for audience too, turning the competition into a collective learning experience. The competition was incredibly close and the results are as follows.
The school conducted elections for Class Representatives on Monday, 27 April 2026, offering students a meaningful experience in democratic participation. Candidates campaigned actively, presenting their visions and ideas, while students cast their votes using electronic voting machines (EVMs) designed by fellow students. The process was marked by enthusiasm, fairness, and transparency.Students also took on the role of budding journalists, interviewing voters and capturing the electoral mood. Vote counting was conducted smoothly, and results were announced the same day. The event highlighted leadership, teamwork, and civic responsibility, making it a truly enriching experience.
Students of the ‘Breaking Barriers’ team from Class XI Humanities conducted a gender sensitisation session on 17 April 2026 at Sanskriti School. The interactive session introduced key concepts of gender, sex, and sexuality, fostering awareness about the LGBTQ+ community. Through activities and discussions, participants reflected on inclusivity and societal norms. The session created a safe space for dialogue, encouraging empathy, respect, and informed understanding.
On 22 April 2026, the school observed Earth Day with meaningful participation from Classes I to VIII through engaging sustainability-focused activities. Class I created hand-print trees symbolising care for nature, while Class II designed ‘Save the Earth’ bookmarks and shared eco-pledges. Class III prepared reusable bags from old T-shirts, promoting responsible reuse. Classes IV, VI and VII transformed discarded items into innovative creations during ‘Best out of Waste’ sessions. Class V developed miniature terrariums representing balanced ecosystems and Class VIII expressed awareness through impactful posters. The celebration encouraged environmental responsibility and strengthened students’ commitment towards greener living practices.
Tagore International School hosted a SPIC MACAY programme that highlighted the significance of performing arts in enriching life and preserving cultural heritageon 29 April 2026. The Odissi performance by Kavita Dwibedi offered students adeeply immersive artistic experience. The session encouraged reflection, appreciation, and a deeper connection with India’s traditions, reinforcing how art fosters sensitivity, discipline, and cultural awareness among young minds.
Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar hosted an inspiring career talk for Classes XI–XII on 12 April 2026, featuring motorsport professionals Devansh Pandita and Shriya Lohia. Students explored diverse careers in motorsport, from race engineering to data analytics. Shriya’s journey as a pioneering young racer highlighted resilience and determination in a male-dominated field. The interactive session encouraged students to pursue unconventional careers with confidence, leaving them motivated, informed, and excited about emerging global opportunities.
Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar conducted a Cervical Cancer Awareness Session for Classes IX–X on 17 April 2026, led by Dr. Savita Chopra. The session highlighted causes, prevention, and early detection of Cervical Cancer, along with the role of Human Papillomavirus. Emphasising preventive healthcare, Dr. Chopra discussed the importance of regular screening and awareness. The interactive session encouraged students to become responsible advocates of health within their communities.
The Photography Club organised a hands-on workshop titled ‘Basics of Photography’ on 10 April 2026. The session was conducted by Mr. Deepak, an expert photographer and representative from Canon India. It aimed to familiarise students with fundamental photography concepts and techniques, enabling them to handle their cameras with greater confidence and precision. The interactive workshop offered valuable practical insights and real-world exposure. Mr. Deepak’s expertise and experience with professional imaging technology enriched the session, making it both informative and inspiring for budding photographers.
