Poems help children learn new words, express their feelings, and build confidence.Mini Melody, an Intra-Class Poetry Recitation Competition was organised for Nursery students on 05 and 06 May 2026. The young participants presented a variety of poems, reciting them with expressive actions, voice modulation and enthusiasm. The rhythmic flow and catchy lines of the poems made each performance engaging and delightful for the audience.
An Intraclass Competition, Futurepreneurs, was conducted for Class III on 6 May 2026. Students enthusiastically presented innovative ideas, showcasing creativity, confidence, and entrepreneurial thinking. The activity encouraged problem-solving, communication, and teamwork among young learners. Tagore International School celebrated Rabindra Jayanti on 7 May 2026 through a series of engaging activities across Classes I–XII. Students explored the life, philosophy, and literary contributions of Rabindranath Tagore through storytelling, quizzes, creative writing, poetry, music, art, and discussions. Young learners enjoyed activities inspired by Kabuliwala, Paper Boats, and Ekla Chalo Re, while senior students reflected on Tagore’s timeless ideas through discussions, visual interpretations, and calligraphy presentations. The school organised Book Week 2026 from 4 May 2026 to 9 May 2026 for Classes I–XII with spirited participation from students. The celebrations commenced with Character Portrayal Day and a lively Character Parade. Students engaged in activities such as Elmer’s Colour Patch, Flip the Twist, Life and Times… A Montage, My Comic Strip, Haiku poetry, book vlogging and literary discussions. Storytelling sessions, a puppet show for Classes VI & VII and an engaging Book Fair added to the experience. The week successfully nurtured imagination, expression and reading habits among learners.
PRISMATIC 2026, the annual inclusivity event of Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar was successfully held on 23–24 April under the aegis of the Department of Education in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Delhi South West, District 3011. The two-day event brought together over 175 students from more than 40 schools across Delhi NCR, celebrating diversity, creativity, and equal opportunity.Day 1 was graced by Guest of Honour, Pratishtha Deveshwar, a globally recognised disability rights advocate, and featured a range of interactive workshops, including decoupage, clay modelling, mime, nukkad natak, and dance. Special sessions were conducted by Dr. Geet Oberoi, Founder, Orkids Foundation, while Ms. Soojata led an engaging Vision Board workshop for teachers.Day 2 welcomed Chief Guest Dr. C. S. Verma, Deputy Director of Education-Zone 20 along with distinguished Rotary dignitaries such as Rtn. Ajeet Jalan (DGE) and Rtn. J. M. Singh (President, Rotary Club of Delhi South West, District 3011. Tagore International School conducted a session on e-waste awareness on 27 April 2026 for Science students of Classes XI and XII. The session was conducted by school alumnus Aseem Trivedi, recipient of the Innovation Sustainability Award for his pioneering venture, Novasensa. It focused on the growing challenge of e-waste, its environmental impact, and the importance of responsible disposal.Students explored innovative recycling solutions and discussed sustainable consumption practices. The session aimed to educate, engage, and empower learners to take informed action, reinforcing the school’s commitment to environmental responsibility and a sustainable future.
The annual class IV Intra-Class Spelling Bee Competition was held on 24 April 2026. The event aimed to challenge students; vocabulary, improve their spelling accuracy, and build confidence in public speaking. The competition was divided into 5 rounds- homophones, unscramble the letters, find the correct spelling, name the picture and final one based on students auditory skills. The hall was filled with vibrant energy as classmates cheered for their representatives. Between the official scoring segments there were questions for audience too, turning the competition into a collective learning experience. The competition was incredibly close and the results are as follows.
The school conducted elections for Class Representatives on Monday, 27 April 2026, offering students a meaningful experience in democratic participation. Candidates campaigned actively, presenting their visions and ideas, while students cast their votes using electronic voting machines (EVMs) designed by fellow students. The process was marked by enthusiasm, fairness, and transparency.Students also took on the role of budding journalists, interviewing voters and capturing the electoral mood. Vote counting was conducted smoothly, and results were announced the same day. The event highlighted leadership, teamwork, and civic responsibility, making it a truly enriching experience.
Students of the ‘Breaking Barriers’ team from Class XI Humanities conducted a gender sensitisation session on 17 April 2026 at Sanskriti School. The interactive session introduced key concepts of gender, sex, and sexuality, fostering awareness about the LGBTQ+ community. Through activities and discussions, participants reflected on inclusivity and societal norms. The session created a safe space for dialogue, encouraging empathy, respect, and informed understanding.
