Our partnership with Japan has been taking place under the flagship exchange program organised by JENESYS (Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths).
Since 2008, the Japanese have visited us in New Delhi and our students and teachers have visited Osaka and Tokyo.
Apart from the JENESYS program, Tagoreans have also represented the school and country in Japan at the following events:
Japan Unveiled: A Journey of Learning and Global Friendship
Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar, successfully concluded a seven-day educational and cultural visit to Japan, offering 29 students an enriching experience across Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo. Students explored Japan’s cultural heritage at Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, Kinkaku-ji, Osaka Castle and Senso-ji Temple. Visits to the JAXA Space Museum and the Science Museum sparked curiosity about scientific innovation, while the bullet train journey showcased Japan’s technological excellence.
The excursion to Oshino Hakkai Village offered glimpses of Mount Fuji, followed by a scenic cruise on Lake Ashi and a ropeway ride to Owakudani, where students observed volcanic and geothermal activity. A highlight was the visit to Tokiwamatsu High School, which fostered intercultural understanding and international friendship. Exploring Tokyo’s vibrant Shibuya Crossing further enriched the experience. At Tagore International School, learning extends beyond classrooms, and every journey opens new
horizons.
