Class VIII students participated in an engaging critical thinking activity during their English class using Edward de Bono’s Six Thinking Hats method. The exercise required students to analyze a topic from multiple perspectives by “wearing” different hats symbolizing distinct thinking styles: factual, emotional, critical, optimistic, creative, and process-oriented. This structured approach helped students to refine their reasoning skills while fostering teamwork and effective communication. By encouraging them to consider all angles of a discussion, the activity promoted a deeper understanding of the subject matter. It was a rewarding experience that inspired collaborative and broadened thinking.
