CBSE Domain 1 Workshop on Life Skills

A CBSE Domain 1 workshop on Life Skills was conducted by TIS faculty member Ms Gauri Sen at Central Academy, Dwarka, on 13 March, with participation from over 60 educators across Delhi NCR. The session focused on integrating life skills into classroom practices through interactive activities such as Paper Planes, Cup Towers, and Storytelling. These highlighted communication, collaboration, and problem-solving. The workshop proved enriching, offering valuable insights and reinforcing the importance of life skills in holistic student development.

Transforming Teaching with AI

A CBP Workshop on ‘AI in Classroom’ was conducted on 14 February at Salvation Tree School under the aegis of CBSE. Led by TIS,VV faculty Seema Mongia, the session saw participation from 60 teachers across Delhi NCR and Noida. Through interactive discussions and hands-on activities, educators explored practical AI tools and strategies to enhance engagement and critical thinking, making classrooms more dynamic, personalised, and future-ready.

Building Safer Digital Futures

An Orientation Programme on Cyber Safety Guidelines was held on 18 March 2026 at Vidya Samiksha Kendra, Civil Lines, under the Directorate of Education. Representing the school, Ms Seema Mongia showcased impactful initiatives including cyber footprint tracking, phishing awareness drills, and student-led campaigns. The session highlighted the importance of digital ethics, cyber laws, and data privacy, reinforcing the school’s commitment to nurturing responsible digital citizens in an evolving online world.

 A CBSE Capacity Building Programme on Mental Health and Wellbeing was led by Ms Gauri Sen, HOD Science from Tagore International School.
The workshop was held at NK Bagrodia School, Dwarka. The session highlighted emotional awareness, stress management and the importance of nurturing a positive learning environment. Participants engaged in meaningful discussions and activities, gaining practical insights to support mental and emotional wellbeing in schools.

A CBSE Capacity Building Programme (CBP) on Promoting Mental Health and Wellbeing in Schools was conducted on February 7, 2026, at Maxfort School, Dwarka. The programme was led by Ms Gauri Sen, HOD Science from Tagore International School. The session focused on enhancing emotional awareness, understanding students’ mental health needs and adopting effective stress-management strategies within the school environment. It emphasised the crucial role of teachers in creating a safe, supportive and positive learning atmosphere. Through interactive discussions and engaging activities, participants gained valuable insights and practical strategies to promote mental and emotional wellbeing in schools.

AI Workshop for Teachers

The school organised an AI workshop for teachers on 17 January 2026, conducted by Shitij Bhal from Crowe India along with his expert team. The session focused on understanding artificial intelligence, its classroom applications and ethical usage in education. Teachers were introduced to AI-powered tools supporting lesson planning, assessment design, and personalised learning. Practical demonstrations and interactive discussions enabled participants to explore real-life educational scenarios. The workshop encouraged educators to adapt to evolving digital practices and integrate technology meaningfully into teaching-learning processes.

CBSE Workshop on Gender Sensitivity

A CBSE Capacity Building Workshop on Gender Sensitivity was conducted on 20 December 2025 at Shambhu Dayal Global School, Dayanand Nagar, Ghaziabad, to promote awareness and inclusive practices among educators. The session was led by Ms. Seema Mongia, PGT Computer Science, Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi. The workshop focused on understanding gender as a social construct, addressing unconscious bias, and fostering gender-inclusive classrooms through case studies, reflective discussions, and interactive activities. Participants found the session insightful, practical, and immediately applicable, reinforcing CBSE’s commitment to equity, inclusion, and value-based education.

Treading New Roads, Inspiring Young Minds

On 13 December 2025, Ms Seema Mongia, HOD-Computer Science, Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar, conducted a professional development workshop titled ‘Happy Classrooms’ at G.D. Goenka School, Noida. The session marked a significant professional milestone and brought together educators from DPS Noida, Vishwabharti School Noida, and other institutions. The interactive workshop focused on fostering joyful learning environments, reflective teaching practices, and collaborative growth. Ms Mongia expressed gratitude to COE Noida, co-resource person Ms Kalpana Seejo, and all participating educators for making the session meaningful and enriching.

Empowering Educators Nationwide: Usha Rani Leads Sanskrit CBP at CBSE Delhi East

It is a matter of great pride that Usha Rani, TGT Sanskrit from our school, conducted the Capacity Building Programme for Sanskrit (Secondary Level) on 17 and 18 July at the CBSE Centre of Excellence, Delhi East, with participation from over sixty teachers across India.

A Theatrical Tribute to Teachers

On a spirited Saturday, Tagore International School hosted a vibrant session of musical theatre led by renowned storyteller and director Mr. Kuljeet Singh, founder of Atelier Theatre. Infused with laughter, reflection, and applause, the event celebrated the life of Saint Kabir and the power of performance. The immersive experience left all attendees inspired, connected, and reminded of the magic that theatre brings to life.

Exploring Abstract Mechanics through Technology & Hands-On Approaches

The school organised an insightful session titled ‘Abstract Concepts in Mechanics using Technology & Hands-On Activities’ under SCERT Delhi’s Five-Day Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Programme for PGT Physics teachers from 23 July to 27 July 2025. The session addressed the urgent need to simplify abstract topics like motion using AI tools and low-cost experiments. It empowered teachers to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Each session was attended by 42 PGTs from across Delhi. Ms. Gauri Sen, HOD Science, Tagore International School, was one of the esteemed resource persons. The school thanks SCERT Delhi for this valuable opportunity.

Workshop on POCSO Act Conducted at Tagore International School

A workshop on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act was held on 28 March 2025, to educate teachers on child safety and legal rights. Led by Ms. Roopinder Kaur, a legal expert and child rights advocate, the session covered key provisions of the POCSO Act, recognizing signs of abuse, and reporting mechanisms. Through case studies and interactive discussions, teachers gained a deeper understanding of their role in child protection. The session concluded with a Q&A, reinforcing the importance of creating a safe school environment.

Technology Workshop for Teachers

The Computer Department organized an interactive technology workshop for primary teachers on 24 March 2025 and for middle and senior school teachers on 27 March 2025, focusing on AI tools to enhance teaching. The session showcased AI-powered tools for generating interactive presentations, songs, text-to-video, image-to-video, audio-to-text, art integration, games and animations. Teachers actively participated, exploring innovative ways to integrate these tools into their lessons. The workshop provided hands-on experience, fostering creativity and engagement in classroom teaching. It was a valuable learning opportunity that equipped educators with modern digital resources to make learning more interactive.

Empowering Teachers to Support Students with Special Needs

A teacher training session was conducted for Classes VI-XII teachers to enhance their skills in supporting students with special needs. The session, held on 26 March 2025, included an interactive quiz on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act and experiential activities to understand dysgraphia and dyslexia. Teachers explored autism, ADHD, and the ABC (Antecedent-Behavior-Consequence) model for managing behavioral challenges. Practical strategies were shared to ensure effective intervention and create an inclusive learning environment.

Empowering Teachers to Support Students with Special Needs

The school conducted a workshop on 24 March 2025, led by the school counselor, Miss Komal, to equip teachers with strategies to support students with special needs effectively. The session included a recap of the PWD Act, an introduction to the PRASHASTH tool, and practical techniques for assisting students with visual impairment, SLD, and ADHD. Through interactive discussions and hands-on activities, teachers explored inclusive practices, reaffirming the school’s commitment to creating a supportive learning environment for all students.

One-Day School Teachers' Enrichment Workshop at Indian Statistical Institute

The School Teachers’ Enrichment Workshop at the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Delhi Centre provided an enriching platform for the school’s mathematics teachers to enhance their knowledge and skills. Held on 21 March 2025, the workshop enabled them to engage with esteemed experts, gain deeper insights into the importance of mathematical research, and explore promising career opportunities in the field, ultimately empowering them to better guide and support their students.

Enhancing Storytelling Skills: A Workshop with Ms. Vasudha Ahuja

On 20 March 2025, the school hosted an engaging storytelling session with renowned storyteller Ms. Vasudha Ahuja. The session provided teachers with creative techniques to make storytelling more interactive and engaging for students.

Ms. Ahuja shared various storytelling techniques, emphasizing the power of voice modulation, gestures, and expressions in captivating an audience. She also introduced the use of props and visual aids to enhance storytelling, making narratives more immersive for young learners. 

Teachers actively participated in hands-on activities, experimenting with different styles of storytelling and exploring new ways to bring stories to life in the classroom. The initiative fostered a love for literature among students and enhanced their imaginative and creative skills.

Empowering Staff for Disaster Preparedness

A comprehensive training session on disaster management was conducted by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team for the staff members of Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar. The training focused on equipping staff with essential skills to respond effectively during emergencies. The NDRF team demonstrated critical techniques, including controlling blood flow, providing first aid for fractures, and administering Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Staff members participated in hands-on exercises, practicing these life-saving skills. The training enhanced staff confidence and preparedness to handle disaster situations. We appreciate the NDRF team’s expertise and look forward to future collaborations, ensuring that our staff is equipped to respond effectively in emergencies.

Exploring AI and Creativity at Adobe Leadership Conclave

On 29 January 2025, Ms Seema Mongia (PGT Computer Science) and Ms Shilpreet Kaur (HoD Computer Science) represented the school at the NPSC Conference and AI Leadership Conclave held at the Adobe Office, Noida. The event, themed Igniting Imagination: AI Collaboration and the Future of Creativity, brought together leading educationists and technology experts for insightful discussions. Eminent speakers shared perspectives on AI-driven learning, while a special session showcased Adobe Express and its AI-powered features, offering innovative possibilities for classroom integration. The experience was a valuable step towards embracing AI in education.

Empowering Educators: A Workshop on Power Dressing by Neha Malhotra

On 18 January 2025, the teachers enjoyed a transformative workshop on Power Dressing by Neha Malhotra, AICI – CIP, a pioneer in Image Consulting. With over 20 years of experience in the airline industry and Image Consulting, Ms Malhotra has impacted over 12,000 lives and authored numerous articles in global fashion and academic publications.

The workshop focused on the pivotal role of attire in building confidence and establishing a professional image, emphasising that teachers, as role models, should exude poise through their dressing. Ms Malhotra offered practical insights into identifying body shapes, styling with layers, and creating timeless looks with high-quality, well-fitted garments. Teachers also explored creative ways to style scarves, adding flair to classic outfits.

The engaging session left the audience inspired to align their personal style with professionalism, ensuring a confident and polished appearance.

Teachers Workshop on Inclusive Education

On 11 January 2025, a workshop on Inclusive Education was organized for teachers of Nursery to Class VIII. Facilitated by the senior school counsellor, Ms Komal, and PGT Home Science teacher, Ms Misha, the session aimed to enhance understanding and equip teachers with strategies to support children with special needs.

The workshop featured engaging activities, including role-plays that highlighted the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities like ADHD, dyslexia, and cerebral palsy. Teachers were introduced to the PRASHASTH screening tool and collaborated on identifying actionable steps for creating an inclusive school environment. The session concluded with practical tips on designing assessments for children with special needs, fostering an atmosphere of equity and inclusion.

Building Bridges: CBSE Inclusive Education Workshop for Educators

On 16 and 17  December 2024,  school counselor Ms Komal Malik and Home Science teacher Ms Misha Sharma Mehrotra participated in a two-day CBSE Capacity Building Programme on Inclusive Education. This workshop empowered teachers with strategies to create accessible and empathetic learning environments. Sessions explored key topics such as understanding disabilities, CBSE provisions, and Universal Design for Learning (UDL). Activities like group discussions and case studies on disabilities deepened understanding, while modules on assistive technology and behaviour modification highlighted practical solutions. The workshop concluded with a roadmap for inclusive practices, ensuring a holistic approach to education for all learners.
