Honouring Gurudev’s Legacy – Primary Wing Celebrates Rabindra Jayanti 2024

Rabindra Jayanti  was celebrated by the students of the Primary Wing  on  8 May 2024 with a blend of cultural activities, educational sessions, and artistic expressions, paying homage to Tagore’s rich legacy.
The celebrations included a soul-stirring rendition of Rabindranath Tagore’s iconic song “Ekla Chalo”. Young learners engaged in a creative colouring activity, depicting Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore in vibrant hues. Enthusiastic young dancers showcased their skills, gracefully interpreting Tagore’s compositions through dance, thereby infusing the celebration with grace and melody. Through a hands-on activity inspired by Tagore’s poem ‘Paper Boats,’ students crafted paper boats using origami techniques. They then pasted their creations underneath the poem, symbolizing Tagore’s enduring legacy flowing through the currents of time.  Students were introduced to Tagore’s  famous short story ‘Kabuliwala’  through  a screening of the timeless classic   A comprehensive powerpoint presentation on the life and times of Gurudev  Rabindranath  Tagore was shown. Other students immersed themselves in Tagore’s timeless stories, exploring themes of love, compassion, and humanism. Subsequently, students reflected on some of these, constructing visual maps to understand key elements, thereby fostering critical thinking .
This  harmonious blend of cultural performances, educational activities, and artistic expressions, highlighted Tagore’s relevance as a beacon of enlightenment and inspiration for generations to come.
