On 29 November 2024, our students reaffirmed their dedication to greater inclusivity in society by hosting Pathways to Pride: Creating LGBTQIA+ Support Systems in Schools in collaboration with The Naz Foundation (India) Trust.
The event began with an inspiring presentation chronicling the Breaking Barriers campaign’s 11-year journey, highlighting milestones in creating safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ individuals. A workshop led by The Naz Foundation delved into the challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ students, the impact of bullying, and practical strategies for promoting mental well-being through empathy and understanding.
Interactive activities, including an icebreaker and a Q&A session, provided participants with opportunities to explore concepts like inclusive language and support systems. A brainstorming session with counsellors resulted in actionable strategies for cultivating safe school environments. This impactful event left participants better equipped to create a compassionate and accepting community, reinforcing the school’s commitment to inclusion and equality.
