Grooving with Deshbhakti

The Intra-Class Groove Gala (Dance Competition on Patriotic Songs) for Class II was held on Thursday, 21 August 2025, filling the atmosphere with rhythm and pride. After a screening round, six budding dancers from each section took the stage, celebrating patriotism through graceful dance. Enthralling performances on Desh Rangila Rangila, Ae Watan Watan Azad Rahe Tu, Suno Gaur Se Duniya Walon, and I Love My India mesmerised the audience. With vibrant costumes, expressive gestures, and boundless energy, the young dancers transported everyone to a world of patriotism through their exceptional talent. The judges unanimously admired the abundant talent in Class 2. Magic of Verses

Poem Recitation Competition ‘Valour Verse’ was held for Class IV students on 22 August, 2025. The event celebrated the courage and bravery of heroes through powerful poetry. Young participants recited poems with confidence and expression, bringing alive stories of strength, sacrifice and patriotism. The audience was inspired by their confidence and heartfelt emotions. The judges appreciated the effort and talent of every child. Flames of Change: Students Witness the French Revolution on Stage

The school organised an educational visit for the students of Class IX to Kamani Auditorium on 21 August,2025 to watch Flames of Change: The French Revolution – Reimagined, presented by History Diaries. The play highlighted the contrasting lives of the clergy, nobility and the hardships of the third estate, making history vivid and engaging. Events such as the storming of the Bastille, the Reign of Terror, and the Declaration of the Rights of Man were powerfully staged. Authentic costumes and lighting recreated 18th-century France. Students appreciated the performance for bringing classroom concepts alive through drama and creativity.

Empowerment through Art: Fabric Painting Workshop for Acid Attack Survivors

The school organised a heartfelt fabric painting workshop on 2 August, 2025 under the Flawless Flaws initiative, bringing together acid attack survivors and students in a space of creativity and mutual respect. The session encouraged healing, expression and skill development, offering survivors an opportunity to explore a path toward self-reliance. With enthusiastic support from Class XI and Class XII volunteers, the atmosphere remained inclusive and uplifting throughout. This workshop also marked the beginning of a Saturday series aimed at equipping survivors with creative skills for confidence, independence, and personal empowerment.

Overseas Education & Career Talk with UEA and Oberoi’s Education Link

The school organised an enriching Overseas Education & Career Talk on 20 August, 2025 for students of Classes XI and XII. The session featured Ms. Anjana Singh, Regional Head, South Asia (University of East Anglia) and Ms. Shilpa Bhatnagar, Senior Counselor (Oberoi’s Education Link). Students were guided on UK university admissions, scholarships, course selection and cultural orientation. Insights into student life, research prospects and part-time work opportunities were shared. The interactive Q&A round helped students clarify doubts and reflect on future academic pathways, making the session an inspiring step toward global education.

Boats, Rockets, and Brilliance Mark Science Week 2025

During Science Week (July 14–19), students showcased innovation through STEM challenges. Pranav Garg (XI) won Best Boat Design, while Swadhay Vij (XI) built the fastest boat. In the Rocket Challenge, Raghav Sharma (XI) and Nidhir Bardhan (XI) achieved an impressive 8.24m flight, guided by mentor Siddhant Shibu (XII).

Independence Day Celebration and Investiture Ceremony: Honour, Inspiration, and Patriotism Mark a Memorable Morning

The campus of Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar, came alive with colour, music, and pride as students and staff gathered for a dual celebration — the Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2025-26 and the nation’s 79th Independence Day on 14 August 2025. The event began with the flag hoisting and National Anthem, followed by the warm welcome of Chief Guest Maj Gen Yash Mor (Retd.), a third-generation Army officer and decorated veteran who continues to inspire youth as a TEDx speaker, author, life coach, and CEO of ‘Save the Himalayas Foundation’. What followed was a vibrant blend of tradition and inspiration — a stirring orchestra, powerful speeches, and a fusion dance inspired by Medha Patkar’s journey. The Achala Nadgir Awards and the honouring of acid attack survivors paid tribute to courage and resilience. A soulful patriotic song then set the tone for the Chief Guest’s address, in which he spoke of the love for books, the value of sports, creative thinking within limits, curiosity, and healthy living. The programme concluded with the Principal’s heartfelt vote of thanks, leaving the audience reflective, proud, and inspired.

Team Awaam Shines at Swatantra Manch

Team Awaam from our school proudly represented us in Swatantra Manch: Desh Ke Naam at the Prime Minister’s Museum, staging a powerful play on Bhagat Singh’s life. Competing among ten selected schools, our talented team of fifteen members from Classes VIII–XII delivered a remarkable performance, securing the Second Position and bringing glory to the school.

Future of Work – Career Awareness Session

The school organised a session on Future of Work for students of Classes XI and XII on 06 August 2025. Led by Ms Aadya Aggarwal, Founder of The Well-Being Collective India, the session explored emerging career trends shaped by technology, global shifts, and emotional intelligence. Students learnt about diverse professional fields, including ethical AI, wellness, and social entrepreneurship. Practical advice on skill development, adaptability, and continuous learning encouraged students to align their strengths with evolving opportunities. The interactive discussion left students motivated to explore career options beyond conventional paths.

Heritage Walk to Mehrauli Archaeological Park

The school organised an immersive heritage walk titled ‘Story Tellers’ for students of Class VII on 8 August, 2025 at the Mehrauli Archaeological Park. Spanning over 200 acres, the park revealed more than a thousand years of Delhi’s history. Students explored magnificent tombs, ancient gateways and historic stepwells while learning about the Delhi Sultanate, Mughal craftsmanship, and British-era influences. Each monument came alive through engaging narratives, enriching their understanding of the past. The walk concluded with students carrying a renewed sense of pride and commitment towards preserving India’s cultural heritage.
