Rabindranath Tagore’s timeless words, “Reach high, for stars lie hidden in you. Dream deep, for every dream precedes the goal,” resonate as the guiding ethos of Tagore International School. In alignment with this philosophy, the annual leadership summit, ‘LEAD ON! – Leaders of Tomorrow, Meet Today,’ serves as a convergence point for the brightest young minds. The event aims to facilitate meaningful discussions on shared concerns, promote collaboration and empower students to realize their aspirations.
Our two keynote speakers, distinguished poet, lyricist and scriptwriter Mr. Javed Akhtar and renowned TV personality Mr. Rajat Sharma, engaged in insightful conversations with the participants on November 04, 2023.
Javed Saheb’s motivational words made the students recognise the importance of being passionate towards their field of work. He urged them to question societal norms and advocate against blind adherence to beliefs. Mr. Sharma, drawing from his own experiences, provided the young audience a direction to dream big, believe in their destiny and equip themselves with education and knowledge in their path towards success. Both speakers highlighted the central theme of ‘Resilience in Adversity’.
The summit featured meticulously planned activities to foster critical thinking, teamwork, leadership, and values. The icebreaker event, ‘Sync or Swim’, challenged students to conceptualize unique start-ups. ‘Ally Way’ focused on problem-solving and collaboration through group challenges, while ‘Prioritise Me’ encouraged introspection on core values. The finale, a thrilling Murder Mystery, tested teams’ ability to think outside the box and react swiftly.
Executed entirely by the TISVV Student Cabinet, the summit offered a unique and unforgettable experience. From engaging conversations with esteemed guests to intellectually stimulating activities, Lead On! will undoubtedly be remembered as a defining moment for all attendees. The event’s success is a testament to the school’s commitment to nurturing the leadership potential within each student. As they leave inspired and equipped with valuable insights, these young leaders embark on their journeys with renewed vigour and determination.
