Honouring Gandhi’s Legacy: Creative Gandhi Jayanti Activities

On 1 October 2024, students of the Primary Wing  celebrated Gandhi Jayanti with a series of engaging and meaningful activities. Class II students began by watching a video on Mahatma Gandhi’s life and later crafted charkhas using bangles and ice cream sticks, symbolizing Gandhi’s values of simplicity and self-reliance.  Class III students created a Message Tree, sharing thoughts inspired by Gandhi’s teachings on peace and non-violence, while Class IV students made badges featuring symbols like the charkha and Gandhi’s glasses. They concluded their activity by taking a heartfelt non-violence pledge.  Class V took charge by organizing a special quiz on Gandhi’s life, principles, and role in India’s freedom struggle, showcasing leadership and teamwork. Each of these activities deepened the students’ appreciation for Mahatma Gandhi’s legacy and inspired them to uphold his values in their daily lives.
