An enlightening session titled ‘Effective Communication – Making Your Voice Heard’ was organized for the students of Class VIII on 6 February 2025. Ms. Ritika Saraswat, a distinguished international speaker, TEDx presenter, LinkedIn Top Voice and the founder and CEO of Re-Defined, a platform supporting immigrants and international students in Canada, shared her extensive experience in public speaking, leadership, and social impact.
She emphasised the importance of clear and confident communication, providing techniques for structuring thoughts and engaging audiences. Addressing common fears associated with public speaking, Ms. Saraswat offered practical strategies to build confidence and reduce anxiety. She also highlighted the significance of active listening and leveraging digital platforms to amplify one’s voice responsibly. Encouraging students to advocate for social change, she shared her experiences working with UN-affiliated organisations and One Young World, demonstrating the power of effective storytelling in creating global impact.
The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, where students posed insightful questions about public speaking challenges and leadership communication. Ms. Saraswat’s practical advice and motivational insights left the audience inspired to refine their communication skills and make meaningful contributions to their communities.
