The event featured over 40 universities from both India and abroad, providing detailed insights into career pathways,eligibility criteria, scholarships, and much more. Students eagerly visited various stalls, interacting with representatives to gather essential information and ideasfor their future career paths.The expert sessions were a key highlight, with distinguished speakers sharing invaluable insights. Ms. Jyotsna Bharadwaj, Educationist and Director of EnvisionIndia Eduservices, discussed emerging careers and the paradigm shift in career choices for students of classes XI-XII. Mr. Rajan Bhatia, an admission strategist, offered guidance to students of classes IX-X on acing entrance exams in India and abroad. Neha Malhotra, founder of the International Image ConsultingInstitute, inspired students with her talk on entrepreneurial success, while Ms. Rupali Verma, a seasoned education advisor, guided students on building arobust profile.The fair empowered students to make informed decisions about their academic and career journeys, showcasing their keen interest in gathering information fromvarious universities and career experts.
On 30 September 2024, Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar took a remarkable step in promoting hands-on science learning by distributing DIY Foldscope kits to Class VI students. The Foldscope, a compact, paper-based microscope capable of magnifying objects up to 2,000 times, is designed to open young minds to the wonders of the microscopic world. This initiative aimed to spark curiosity and ignite a passion for science by allowing students to explore and observe their environment in ways that traditional classroom settings cannot. The joy and amazement on the students’ faces were a testament to the powerful impact of this tool, which transforms science from theory into a real-world adventure. With the Foldscope, students are encouraged to ask questions, make discoveries, and engage in scientific exploration beyond textbooks, laying the foundation for a lifelong interest in the natural world.
वक्ताओं का बल है भाषा, लेखक का गौरव है भाषा। सभी भाषाओं में सिरमौर, हमारी प्यारी हिंदी भाषा…॥ सरल ,सादगी, स्वाभिमान से भरी व संस्कारों की सच्ची संवाहक हिंदी भाषा के विकास में योगदान देते हुए हिंदी दिवस के अवसर पर कक्षा पहली से दसवीं तक के छात्रों ने अपने भिन्न-भिन्न रचनात्मक कार्यों को प्रस्तुत किया । हिन्दी भाषा के इस दिवस को और अधिक खूबसूरत बनाते हुए छात्रों ने विभिन्न गतिविधियों में भाग लिया | शब्दों का घर बनाकर उसे सजाना ,वर्णमाला द्वारा फूलों का गुलदस्ता बनाना,शब्दों की लड़ी बनाकर नवीन शब्दों को जोड़ा,दोहा गायन गतिविधि,नारा लेखन ,भाषण , विज्ञापन निर्माण इत्यादि । इन गतिविधियों के अतिरिक्त विद्यालय में अंतरसदन प्रतियोगिता का भी आयोजन किया गया । छात्रों ने उत्तर पूर्वी राज्यों की लोकोक्तियों पर आधारित लघु नाटिकाएँ प्रस्तुत कीं, अपितु “एक भारत श्रेष्ठ भारत ” को सार्थक करती स्वरचित कविताओं का वाचन भी किया ।
Teachers’ Day 2024 was a heartwarming celebration filled with love, laughter, and respect at Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar. The event kicked off with energetic performances by Class XI students, followed by Class XII students stepping into the shoes of teachers for the day, looking sharp and confident. The celebration featured lively activities, including music, dance, a fun-filled antakshari with a twist, and comical skits performed by the teachers. A surprise dance performance by the support staff added a special touch. Retired teachers joined in the festivities, and messages from alumni made the day even more memorable. It was a beautiful reminder of the significant role teachers play in shaping compassionate and resilient individuals.
Radio waves sparked an unforgettable journey of connection and storytelling as Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar, proudly hosted the third edition of Frequency Modulation—an interschool competition celebrating the vibrant legacy and impact of radio. This year’s event paid tribute to radio’s unmatched ability to bridge societal gaps and unite communities, perfectly aligning with the vision of ‘Vikasit Bharat’—a developed India. The competition featured three thrilling categories: On Air, Rodcast, and Synth-X, judged by the charismatic RJs Sarthak and Naved, alongside esteemed experts Mr. Maithal and Mr. Banerjee. Talented students from 15 schools showcased their hosting prowess and audio production skills, with Lotus Valley International School, Gurugram, claiming the prestigious overall trophy. On Air teams captivated audiences with radio shows on pressing social issues, Rodcast teams pitched cutting-edge podcast concepts, and Synth-X teams delivered mesmerizing original acapella performances. The event was a dynamic display of creativity, technical mastery, and audience engagement.
Political Science students of Classes XI and XII had the opportunity to be a member of the Student Parliament which was organized on 10 May 2024 in collaboration with PRS an Indian non-profit organisation involved in legislative research. The mock Parliament was conducted in two segments. The first half was a question hour where those students who were MPs grilled those who were ministers. In the second half, the students were divided into groups , given a stakeholder position on a fictional bill, ‘Regulation of e-commerce platforms 2024’ and given one hour of research time. They debated intensely, proposed amendments and passed the bill. The students were delighted to be a part of this enriching experience as it was an opportunity to go beyond the textbook. Their involvement could be seen in their intelligent questioning, their enthusiastic discussion and their loud ayes and nays. Rabindra Jayanti was celebrated by the students of the Primary Wing on 8 May 2024 with a blend of cultural activities, educational sessions, and artistic expressions, paying homage to Tagore’s rich legacy.The celebrations included a soul-stirring rendition of Rabindranath Tagore’s iconic song “Ekla Chalo”. Young learners engaged in a creative colouring activity, depicting Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore in vibrant hues. Enthusiastic young dancers showcased their skills, gracefully interpreting Tagore’s compositions through dance, thereby infusing the celebration with grace and melody. Through a hands-on activity inspired by Tagore’s poem ‘Paper Boats,’ students crafted paper boats using origami techniques. They then pasted their creations underneath the poem, symbolizing Tagore’s enduring legacy flowing through the currents of time. Students were introduced to Tagore’s famous short story ‘Kabuliwala’ through a screening of the timeless classic A comprehensive powerpoint presentation on the life and times of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore was shown. Other students immersed themselves in Tagore’s timeless stories, exploring themes of love, compassion, and humanism. Subsequently, students reflected on some of these, constructing visual maps to understand key elements, thereby fostering critical thinking .This harmonious blend of cultural performances, educational activities, and artistic expressions, highlighted Tagore’s relevance as a beacon of enlightenment and inspiration for generations to come.
Treat the Earth with the same love you have for yourself Earth Day goes beyond being just a date; it serves as a reminder of our duty to safeguard and cherish our planet. Since its inception in 1970, Earth Day has transformed into a global movement that transcends boundaries, cultures, and beliefs. Students at TISVV have always been deeply committed to conservation. Across primary, middle, and senior classes, students commemorated the day with various activities.In Class I, students created headbands to express their concern for the environment. By using biodegradable materials, they became more aware of the importance of using resources wisely and reducing waste. They wrote a pledge and proudly wore the headbands all day. Class II watched a video about Versova Beach, Mumbai, and learned about ways to protect our planet. They made Earth Day badges and pledged to reduce the use of plastic bags. Class III engaged in crafting upcycled creations that promoted sustainability and environmental awareness, turning discarded materials into art. These hands-on activities helped them develop a deeper appreciation for Earth’s resources and the significance of reducing, reusing, and recycling. With a focus on promoting environmental stewardship, Class IV learned about nurturing and caring for living things by growing their own plant. Through poster making, they expressed their commitment to protecting the Earth and its resources, culminating in a pledge to take concrete actions to conserve the environment. Class V celebrated the wonders of nature by creating terrariums. They realized that even small actions can contribute to conserving our planet’s precious biodiversity. The students proudly displayed their terrariums, showcasing the beauty of nature and their dedication to its protection.Students from Classes VI to VIII participated in various activities, including quizzes, competitions, and talent shows at a special assembly held to mark the day. The school’s talented singers and dancers presented a beautiful performance highlighting the importance of responsible water consumption, using the exemplary architecture of Rajaon Ki Baoli as an example. Senior classes watched a specially created video that sparked lively class discussions. Teachers also wore artistic badges designed by members of the creative Art Club.The message was clear: Take care of the Earth, and she will take care of you.
‘By voting we add our voice to the chorus that forms opinions and a basis for actions’. Tagore International School,Vasant Vihar conducted elections for the post of Class Representative across Classes VI-XII on 24,April 2024 using electronic voting machines (EVMs) – definitely a first for most school students ! The initiative provided students with a firsthand experience of democratic processes. Using the EVMs created by science students and the Science faculty, student-voters cast their votes electronically, exactly mirroring the procedures of actual elections. This hands-on approach not only familiarized them with technological advancements but also instilled a sense of responsibility and civic duty. Students actively engaged in campaigning, debates, and voting, simulating a real-world electoral environment. The process emphasized transparency, fairness, and the importance of informed decision-making. TISVV commemorated World Heritage Day with diverse activities to connect students with India’s rich heritage: In Class II, students identified landmarks in Delhi they aspire to visit, engaging in discussions on preserving these monuments. Class III marked heritage sites on a map, discussing their importance for future generations. Class IV explored India’s heritage sites virtually, marveling at their architecture and significance. Class V learned about embracing diversity through an informative video on UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Classes VI-VIII had spirited discussions on the Relevance of World Heritage Day and enjoyed a Virtual Tour of India’s Monuments. These activities deepened students’ appreciation for India’s heritage and emphasized the need for preservation. Celebrating Heritage Day endorsed cultural awareness and respect for history.
