On 21 May 2022 students of the Breaking Barriers campaign celebrated Pride Month with a blast! The campaign members hosted a pride parade, carolling into senior grade classrooms and talking about the events that led to the celebration of Pride Month. The parade was accompanied by Mr. Colin Shonk, Head Counsellor and Advocacy and Ms. Jasvinder Kaur, Public Advocacy Officer from the High Commission of Canada. The idea was to emphasise inclusiveness across gender and sex and to respect and embrace equality .
The students also spoke about their campaign journey through a presentation at the Canadian embassy.
