A Celebration Of Devotion And Sacrifice

The inclusive, secular and multicultural ethos of TISVV was clearly evident in the beautiful Eid celebration on 10 April 2024. The students were introduced to the story behind the festival (Eid al-Fitr means “the feast of breaking the fast.” The fast is Ramadan, which recalls the revelation of the Quran to Prophet Muhammad and requires Muslims to fast from sunrise to sundown for a month ) A mellifluous quawwali presented in the traditional style and a very graceful dance choreographed to the Sufi number ‘Bismillah’ held the audience captivated.  Celebrating all festivals with equal fervour is one of our special customs and encourages our students to grow into liberal and tolerant human beings
