Healthy Choices: Happy Lives –  World Health Day 2024

World Health Day is celebrated globally on  7 April  every year to raise awareness about health-related issues and promote healthier lifestyles. In TISVV various activities were planned across the school on 5 April 2024 where students were encouraged to  reflect on the importance of health and well-being, both physical and emotional.
Some of the younger ones had an electrifying ‘Break a Leg-Dance Fitness Activity’ where they jumped, grooved, and danced their way to better health in a specially planned session.  Some classes watched health related videos which led to a discussion among students on the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. Other children enjoyed an art therapy session promoting both stress relief and emotional well-being through creative modes of self – expression. Some classes were guided through a meditation and mindfulness session which is a valuable tool to help navigate life’s challenges.  Middle Schoolers were taught to read the nutrition labels on packaged food items, thus guiding them towards healthy dietary choices. Students understood why food items containing high sodium, fats and sugars should be avoided.
