Tagore International School organised an engrossing Author Meet on 6 October 2023, in the serene ambience of our school library. This event featured the well known Dr. Srinath Reddy, former head of the Department of Cardiology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) who generously gave us his time to introduce his latest literary creation ‘Pulse to Planet’.
The book launch commenced with a warm welcome to Professor Reddy, setting the stage for what promised to be an enriching literary journey. This was followed by the unveiling of ‘Pulse to Planet’. Professor Reddy’s articulate and insightful discourse on the importance of health held the audience spellbound. He eloquently explained how good health is impacted by the environment and how some human activities are responsible for destroying health, sharing his extensive knowledge on the subject. His message resonated deeply with the students, encouraging them to reflect upon the profound impacts of health on our lives and the world at large. An interactive Q&A session followed, covering topics from sustainability to stress management.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to Dr. Reddy and his team for sharing their wisdom. The Author Meet reminded us both of the transformative power of literature and the importance of holistic health exploration.
