Breaking Barriers Workshop in DPS, Faridabad

An effective Gender Sensitization Workshop was conducted by the Breaking Barriers campaigners for students of Classes X to XII of Delhi Public School, Greater Faridabad on 3 August 2022. With special emphasis on human rights ( especially lgbt+ rights) a team of 5 students conducted this session in 2 groups, for a total of 300 students followed by Q&A session and quiz. It was an interactive session with some thought-provoking activities for the participants. The workshop was conducted in collaboration with the High Commission of Canada and a video message from the Deputy High Commissioner of Canada, Ms Amanda Strohan was screened where she shared her thoughts on the kind of impact sensitization campaigns like ours can create on youth changemakers and strong leaders of tomorrow.

The best part of this session was that the DPS school Faridabad will soon be pioneers in initiating Breaking Barriers on their own campus and also conducting workshops for various branches of DPS across India. This school will be given intensive training by the Breaking Barriers team from TIS.
